Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Lexington, SkyBar Lexington is much more than just a restaurant and bar — it’s a vibrant culinary hotspot where exceptional food meets an inviting, energetic atmosphere. This lively venue is perfect for anyone craving a mix of inspired comfort fare paired with expertly crafted drinks in a setting that hums with friendly buzz and warmth.

SkyBar offers a menu that masterfully blends classic favorites with creative twists, making it a go-to for casual dining or late-night bites. Starting with their GRAZING BOARD, a standout charcuterie loaded with carefully curated snacking options, guests are treated to a sensory experience of rich, savory flavors and a variety of textures. The Caprese Bread Bites elevate fresh mozzarella and ripe tomatoes atop their housemade focaccia, finished with fragrant basil and a sweet balsamic reduction — a perfect bite that balances freshness and indulgence. For a nostalgic comfort, the JUMBO PRETZEL arrives warm and satisfying, paired with zesty mustard that awakens the palate.

The star of late-night cravings, as often praised by locals, is their UNDERGROUND NACHOS. Crunchy tortilla chips smothered in gooey beer cheese and topped with housemade salsa create a hearty, irresistible dish that keeps patrons coming back. The dinner menu continues this commitment to crave-worthy comfort with offerings like THE SLICE, a made-from-scratch pizza on their renowned focaccia bread boasting just the right blend of crispy edges and soft center.

For something heartier, the Bratwurst served in a brioche bun with customizable toppings offers a satisfying savory punch, while The Bigger Chicken — an herb-crusted chicken breast layered with mozzarella and roasted red pepper relish — is a succulent creation that excites the taste buds. The menu’s Lexington Cuban Sandwich delivers pulled pork perfection with each bite, rounded out by the smoky, tender flavors that make it a crowd-pleaser.

Stepping inside SkyBar feels like entering a well-kept local secret. The speakeasy-style basement entrance sets the tone for an intimate, cozy experience. Inside, a colorful fireplace anchors the space, creating a warm, inviting glow that encourages lingering conversations over creative cocktails expertly mixed by knowledgeable bartenders. The team behind the bar — especially Angelica, Kelby, Angie, and Alex — are often lauded for their friendly, personal touch and their ability to craft drinks tailored exactly to your taste, making every visit feel welcoming and special.

Whether you’re catching a game at VMICitadel or seeking an ideal spot for a post-dinner drink, SkyBar Lexington offers a perfect blend of vibrant ambiance, top-notch hospitality, and a menu that satisfies every craving. With rave reviews from wedding parties and longtime locals alike, this bar-restaurant gem shines as a must-visit destination in Lexington’s dynamic culinary scene.

Skybar is by far the best bar in Lexington. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable of drink recipes, hospitality is on point. You never feel ignored. Angelica and Kelby are such sweethearts. The food is my favorite late night eats, especially the nachos.

Skybar played host to our wedding welcome party in October and the night could not have been better! Communication beforehand was prompt and clear, charges were reasonable and the event itself was wonderful. We had catering that provided perfect small bites, which the servers packaged up for us to take at the end of the night. Everyone was friendly, the service was great, and we'd happily recommend Skybar to anyone else looking to host a fun event in Lexington.

Love coming here either by myself or with my friends. Bartenders are great! Always a good time! I’ve known Angie for years, she can make you whatever drink profile you like and it’s great every time. Alex is sweet and personable, and also very funny. I love them both.

We decided to check out the SkyBar in Lexington and it was such a pleasant surprise. Starting with the speakeasy-style basement entrance that anticipates your entrance into a secret place. A welcoming bartender with choices of seating at the bar or an assortment of tables situated around the edges of the space. A gorgeous and colorful fireplace framed the opposite end of the space. I loved the atmosphere with painted bricks and a hint of sparkle and the dark wood pub tables with comfortable chairs. The bar food/ appetizer/ dinner menu is small but mighty. We decided on the Cheese platter that came with 3 cheeses, sourced from local farms, thinly sliced salami, apple slices, black grapes, spicy almonds, chocolate raisins, a skewer of giant stuffed mushrooms, gorgeous mustard, bread, and crackers. Then to add a holiday flare some pretzels glazed in pumpkin chocolate and cranberry jam. So good. We also ordered Pollo asado tacos. They came with bean salad which we put on top of the tacos. This flavorful dish was a quintessential taco with pulled chicken, tomatoes, beans, and peppers all diced small and mixed with refreshing cilantro leaves to round out the tastes. Spicy with just enough kick. Yum. The music was just right, fun, and not too loud for conversation. Our server was personable, polite, helpful, and welcoming. We were so glad we decided to visit and will definitely be recommending it and going back ourselves.

Very nice bar, atmosphere is dark. Menu is limited. Young and new to the Business. If your looking for the after dinner place, this is it. Plenty of seating, good drinks and the waitress is very attentive. With time this will be the place to go.

This place is mysterious. It feels like a secret due to the darkness and having to walk downstairs. The bar is nicely laid out, they have a small selection of draft beer but at least is not only IPA options. They had a Kolsch, an Amber besides an IPA. The house drinks are very good and the limeade is made in-house; very nice. Because it is smaller, it gets very loud once more than 15 people arrive but, you can simply go early and leave around 10. Bartenders were nice and attentive. I did not try the food as had just eaten. You should check it out.
